About Hatmac

Hatmac is an independent service that rents dedicated Apple silicon Macs in the cloud. You get your own physical Mac mini or Mac Studio, set up for you and ready to use remotely.

Who we are

We run Mac mini and Mac Studio machines for people who need macOS but would rather not buy, house and look after the hardware themselves. You order a machine, we prepare it, and you work on it from wherever you are.

Hatmac is not affiliated with Apple. We build our service around Apple hardware because macOS, Xcode and Apple silicon tooling run best, and in many cases only, on a real Mac.

We keep the catalogue short on purpose. There are four Mac mini configurations and two Mac Studio configurations, each with a clear monthly price. If you need something outside that list, we would rather talk it through with you than fill the order page with options nobody understands.

What we believe

• Dedicated hardware. Every Mac we rent is a physical machine assigned to one customer. It is not shared with anyone else and it is not a virtual machine. The CPU, GPU, memory and SSD are yours for the term.
• Simple pricing in USD. Plans start from $119/mo. You choose a monthly, 6-month or 12-month term, and longer terms cost less per month. Every checkout is in US dollars.
• Full control. You get a full macOS desktop and terminal. Install Xcode, Homebrew, CI runners, Ollama or whatever else your work needs.
• Bilingual support. The website, your account and support work in English and Simplified Chinese (中文). Write to us in whichever you prefer.
• Straight answers. When something depends on your setup, such as networking between several machines or a custom memory configuration, we say so and ask what you need instead of guessing.

How it works

1. Order. Pick a machine and a term on the website or in your account.
2. Pay. Pay by Visa, Mastercard or Amex through Stripe, or with PayPal, Bitcoin or USDT. You can also top up account credit and use it to pay invoices.
3. We set it up. After payment we prepare your Mac and configure remote access, then email you when it is ready.
4. Connect. Your access details appear under My Macs in your account. Depending on how your machine is set up, that may be SSH, Screen Sharing (VNC), RustDesk, AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Parsec, Chrome Remote Desktop, DeskIn or ToDesk.
5. Renew or change. We issue renewal invoices before the renewal date and send reminders. At the end of a term you can change term or cancel from your account.

Who uses Hatmac

Most of the people we work with fall into a few groups:

FAQ

Are Hatmac machines shared with other customers?

No. Each Mac is a dedicated physical machine assigned to one customer for the length of the term. It is not a virtual machine and nobody else uses it.

Which payment methods does Hatmac accept?

Visa, Mastercard and American Express through Stripe, plus PayPal, Bitcoin and USDT. All checkouts are in USD. You can also top up account credit and use it to pay invoices.

Can I get a custom configuration?

Prices on the site are for each machine's starting configuration. More memory or storage is available on request. Tell us what you need and we will come back with a quote.

Is Hatmac part of Apple?

No. Hatmac is an independent service and is not affiliated with Apple. We rent Apple hardware; we do not speak for Apple.

What happens at the end of my term?

We send a renewal invoice before the renewal date, with reminders. You can renew, switch to a different term or cancel at the end of the term from your account.
