Is the hardware shared?	No. Each Mac is a dedicated physical machine assigned to one customer, not a VM.
Who is the supplier?	Hatmac, an independent provider. Hatmac is not affiliated with Apple.

Plans and pricing

Prices below are for each machine's starting configuration. Mac mini M4 and M6 can be rented month to month; M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra are on 6- or 12-month terms.

Running several machines

Most teams end up with a mix. A common pattern for an app studio:

• Mac mini M6 as remote desktops for QA and for staff without Macs.
• Mac mini M5 Pro as build machines for CI. See Mac build farm for how teams split jobs across machines.
• Mac Studio M5 Max or M5 Ultra for model work, rendering or the largest Xcode projects.

Each machine appears separately under My Macs with its own access details. Record each Mac by role in your asset register so renewals and offboarding stay clear. Giving staff access

• One macOS user per person. Create a standard account for each person and give admin rights only to those who need them. It keeps files, Keychains and Xcode settings apart.
• One SSH key per person. Add each public key to that person's ~/.ssh/authorized_keys. When someone leaves, remove their key and account; nobody else is affected.
• Shared remote desktop credentials belong in your team password manager. Change them when the team changes.
• Agencies: one Mac per client. Separate machines keep each client's signing certificates, Apple developer accounts and source code apart, and make handover at the end of a project clean.
• Support is through tickets in your account, in English or Simplified Chinese.

Renewals and changing size

• Renewal invoices are issued before the renewal date, with reminders, so nothing lapses unnoticed.
• At the end of a term you can change the term or cancel in your account.
• Pay renewals from account credit if you prefer one top-up per quarter or per year.
• Scaling up: order more machines whenever you need them.
• Scaling down: cancel individual machines at the end of their term.

A practical approach: put long-lived machines, such as CI runners, on 12-month terms for the lowest monthly price, and keep project-based desktops on monthly Mac mini plans until the project's length is clear. The Mac mini hosting cost guide walks through the numbers.

Retiring a machine

1. Copy off anything you need with rsync or your backup tool.
2. Sign out of Apple accounts and remove signing identities from the Keychain.
3. Revoke SSH keys, runner tokens and API keys that lived on the Mac.
4. Cancel the machine at the end of its term in your account.

FAQ

What does dedicated Mac hosting include?

A physical Mac mini or Mac Studio assigned only to your company, set up with remote access, plus invoices, renewals and support through your Hatmac account. You install your own software.

Can we pay with a company card or crypto?

Yes. Cards via Stripe, PayPal, Bitcoin and USDT are all accepted, and every checkout is in USD.

Can we add machines in the middle of a term?

Yes. Each new machine is ordered separately with its own term. For a larger order, ask for a bulk quote.

Is there a minimum term?

Mac mini M4 and M6 can be monthly. M5 Pro, M5 Max and M5 Ultra start at 6 months.
